Prayer points for the Webbs:

29th October 2010.

Hi praying friends,

We've been a bit slow at sending prayer requests and letters lately. Just been busy I suppose! We would however be very happy if you'd pray for us in the following things;

Ross has been particularly busy preparing to check the Paama translation of 1 Corinthians.
We thank God that he did complete the preparation this week.
We both plan to go to Paama on 2nd November for a few days and stay with the Labrecque family (SIL) for Ross to do the face to face checking. His preparation was to go through the Back-to-English translation and write questions and comments on things which he wants to make sure really make sense and really carry the right meaning. He has sent these ahead of time for the translation team to wrestle with them a bit.
Please pray for a profitable time on the island as a number of people read together through 1 Corinthians.

On Paama, I will help Barbara Labrecque with a few days of Reading fluency classes with the ladies - you can pray that will be a useful time too, equipping the ladies to read better God's Word in their language.

Ross's other jobs 'on the side' are requiring quite a bit of energy right now too. The day after we return from Paama he will preach at a Scripture Union Youth service in the morning and the Chinese church in the afternoon.

If you could pray that he will be able to do a good job of all these important dealings with God's Word while still maintaining all the other aspects of his 'normal' job.

Thanks,

Lyndal
